Here are the exclusive pictures of Will Smiths 11-year-old son Jaden Smith being trained by martial arts legend Jackie Chan, who plays maintenance man Mr Han in the forthcoming film. The pair were pictured together on the Great Wall of China, where filming is under way.
The original version of The Karate Kid, released in 1984, starred Ralph Macchio as Daniel and the late Pat Morita as the sage-like Mr Miyagi. It spawned three sequels and remains one of the decade's best-loved movies.
