Brittany Murphy Passes Away

The 32-year old 8 Mile actress passed away last night, because of a cardiac arrest. She apparently collapsed in a bathroom. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate Murphy on the scene, and she was subsequently transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 a.m. after going into cardiac arrest.Cause of death is yet to be determined, but Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the Associated Press: "It appears to be natural." Full results will not be known until an autopsy is performed, and experts have looked into her medical records and toxicology reports.

Kid Cudi Leaves Lady Gaga

Kid Cudi is leaving Lady Gaga's "Monster Ball" tour to focus on recording new material and "acting commitments," according to a statement released by his representatives on Wednesday (Dec. 16).

The news follows an incident that took place at the "Monster Ball" tour's Dec. 12 stop in Vancouver, in which Cudi allegedly punched a fan. According to eyewitness accounts, the rapper mistook the fan, Michael Sharpe, for a another concertgoer who had thrown a wallet onto the stage during his opening set. In a video that captured the incident, Cudi appears to jump offstage and throw a punch before being pulled away by security. Sharpe has since said he has no plans to press charges against Cudi.

At press time, a spokesperson for Lady Gaga said the singer has no comment yet about Cudi's exit, nor is there an update on who will replace him as her opening act. This is the second time Gaga will have to find a touring partner amidst controversy, however. Cudi was brought on to the "Monster Ball" tour after Gaga's "Fame Kills" tour, a co-headlining bill with Kanye West, was cancelled in the wake of West's VMA outburst against Taylor Swift.

Buju Banton

Reggae star Buju Banton has been arrested for trying to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine last week from an undercover law-enforcement officer.

Wearing a beige jail jumpsuit and shackles, Banton, 36, sat expressionless in the front row of the Miami federal courtroom Wednesday morning, his trademark dreadlocks pulled back off his narrow face and rolled into a bundle.

Occasionally, he looked across the courtroom where, in the back row, his publicist and two members of the local Jamaican Consulate observed the proceedings.

The only time Banton spoke was when he uttered his real name and age, and confirmed to U.S. Magistrate Judge William Turnoff that he was indeed waiving his bail hearing in Miami to be transferred to Tampa.

Banton, whose album Rasta Got Soul is nominated for the Grammy Reggae Album of the Year, is looking forward to ``getting back to doing what he does, which is make music for the people of the world.''

Now, I have not been a fan of this years X-Factor, so I have not posted anything X-Factor related. However, I know that one of my favourite bands are trying to knock the X-Factor winner off the Christmas Number 1 spot - and I'm supporting that.

Stores Are Refusing To Stock Chris Brown Album.

With his new studio album "Graffiti" out this week, Chris Brown feels stores will not be stocking his album.

Brown accused stores of “blackballing” him and failing to stock the album in the wake of his guilty plea for assaulting Rihanna earlier this year.

Brown's Twitter rant ramped up after he stopped into a Walmart in Wallingford, Connecticut, where he couldn’t find a copy of his record. “didnt even have my album in the back… not on shelves, saw for myself,” he wrote on December 12th. MTV News reports that the Walmart in question had actually sold out of the album. One day earlier Brown posted, “im tired of this shit. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the fuck do i gotta do…”

In one Tweet, Brown claims that he spoke with the store’s managers “and the[y] didn’t even know anything. Wow! But they had Alicia Keys album ready for release for this Tuesday comin’… The manager told me that when there are new releases, its mandatory to put ‘em on the shelves… BUT NO SIGN OF GRAFFITI. BS.”

The album’s first two singles, “I Can Transform Ya” and “Crawl,” haven’t exactly been burning up Billboard’s charts, either. “Crawl” has yet to crack the Top 50 on the Hot 100, and “Transform Ya,” which features Lil Wayne, only made it to Number 20.

Jordan And Peter Andre To Be Kept Apart.

Jordan and Peter Andre are both expected to attend this weekend's X Factor final - and will deliberately be kept apart by worried bosses.

And it's been claimed that chiefs want to keep the divorced exes away from each other so there is no trouble on the night.

A source said: "The powers that be want Katie and Peter to feel relaxed and happy about coming to the show and have assured them that it will be handled in a professional manner and they won't even have to see each other".

"There is a very detailed plan in place to make sure it all runs smoothly."

The First 3D "Street Dance" Movie
