DMX To Enter The Boxing Ring.

DMX will become the latest emcee to enter the boxing world when he faces actor Eric Martinez this December. In a recent interview on Washington D.C.’s 106.7 The Fan radio show, DMX explained the origins of the fight and why he felt it wasn’t necessary to train for the contest. "We got a phone call, you know, asking if I wanted to participate in it. Yeah, why not?" DMX stated. “I used to participate in…oh, nevermind. But yeah, I figured I could do it. I’m just going to walk in as it is, you know what I mean? It wouldn’t be fair if I trained.” In a sport which suffers fatalities every year from head trauma, DMX was unconcerned about fighting in Alabama, a state that has no organized athletic commission. "I can fight for real though, so it is what it is,” DMX maintained. Regarding his corner and entrance music, DMX revealed he hasn’t made any decisions yet. "[The entrance music, I] haven’t thought about that either....More than likely I’ll pick one of my own songs, [like] 'What’s My Name,'” DMX admitted.

The fight card, entitled Alabama Pride, will take place in Birmingham on December 12 at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex.

According to DMX, a new album will be in stores by the first quarter of 2010. Before his legal troubles and incarceration this year, the rapper had originally planned to release a Hip-Hop and gospel LP on the same day in early 2009.

Kano & Rio Ferdinand Collaborating!

It's exciting to see rapper Kano update his celebrity list - he was video with Goldie and actor Steven Graham last week - this week Kano was with Manchester footballer Rio Ferdinand.
You might be asking yourself, what are these guys doing? But Manchester defender who owns the White Chalk Record Label, turned to a MC as he took to the mic with pal Kano after dinner at La Tasca in Glasgow. It got me laughing for a few seconds, but then I started to pay closer attention to Rio Ferdinand who was taking the performance more serious than Kano.

Kano's single Rock n Roller is available on the 26th October 09. You can catch Kano at KoKo's on the 10th November 09.

Lil Wayne To Plead To 8 Months To Jail

Lil Wayne will be forced to plead out to a jail term in New York City on Thursday, according to sources with AllHipHop.com. The rapper is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York. The 27-year-old now faces 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon. "Wayne is going to plead guilty," a source close to the case told AllHipHop.com, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. "The date is coming up and he's going to do it tomorrow." Wayne is rumored to be willing to accept the deal to avoid a long term in jail over the gun. The same source said the term will begin in February of 2010 under the terms of the deal. "If he doesn't plead, he goes to jail for a long time," the source said. "They told him that if he doesn't plead tomorrow, it will go to trial and then he faces a far longer jail term," the source continued. A small amount of DNA may have changed the landscape of the case, according to a report by the Associated Press. There is a "minuscule" amount of the rapper's DNA on the gun, reports say, and that has strengthened the case for the prosecution

Alexandra Burke Tops The Single Charts Again

Alexandra Burke has beaten Robbie Williams to the top of the UK single charts after both performed on the X Factor show last weekend. "Bad Boys" sold more than twice as many copies (185,000) as Robbie's comeback single "Bodies", which charted at number two. Last week's number one, "Oopsy Daisy" by Chipmunk, slipped to number three.

"Bad Boys" featuring Flo Rida debuted at number-one in the UK, becoming her second consecutive number-one single, after "Hallelujah".

Leona's Attacker Has Been Sectioned

29 year-old Peter Kowalczyk who punched Leona Lewis in the face was a jealous X Factor reject. Peter was charged and later section under the Mental Health Act following Leona's terror at a book-signing. Peter dad's Tomasz says that Peter just "wants to be a singer".

Tomasz also states that Peter has a history of mental issues and remembers Peter constantly talking about Strictly Come Dancing winner Alesha Dixon.

T.I Wins Two Awards While Being Locked Up!

T.I won two BET Hip-Hop Awards while being locked up for a federal weapons conviction. T.I won the best collaboration award with Rhianna for the song “Live Your Life” and the album of the year award for “Paper Trail.” His fiancee Tameka “Tiny” Cottle accepted his awards at the ceremony in Atlanta and read a letter by the rapper, who began serving a yearlong sentence in late May. “Although I’m not there with you all, I’m there in spirit,” Cottle quoted the rapper as writing. “My road to redemption is almost over. … Thanks for the support.” Jay-Z was honored as the “MVP of the Year,” while Drake took home “Rookie of the Year,” and Ice Cube received the “I Am Hip-Hop” icon award. Ice Cube said he was humbled by the award, and he believes his career as filmmaker could earn him more honors in the future. He helped launch the gangsta rap genre with the group NWA, and he starred in “Barbershop” and “Friday,” which he also co-wrote.

Rapper Busta Rhymes presented the award for “DJ of the Year” to DJ AM, the celebrity spinner who died of an accidental drug overdose in August. Kanye West, meanwhile, couldn’t hijack the stage, because the rapper was a no-show. West had been expected to attend the fourth annual awards show. He fell under scrutiny for interrupting Taylor Swift’s award-winning moment at last month’s MTV Video Music Awards. Jay-Z took the stage with Young Jeezy to perform “Real as It Gets” and rap group Goodie Mob performed its 1995 song “Cell Therapy.”

Dionne Bromfield is the first signing to Amy Winehouse's Lioness label. After her debut performance on Strictly Come Dancing last night, Dionne is creating a tide wave over the Internet.

Brief Introductory:
Dionne Bromfield a 13 year old soul singer hailing from London is Amy's goddaughter. After a brief recording of her singing with Winehouse accompanying on guitar was viewed by an army of adoring fans, Dionne become an overnight hit.

Dionne’s album features covers of 12 classic songs that reflect her love of vintage soul music and ‘60s girl groups. Tracks include the Motown anthem Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, which Dionne has recorded as a duet with Zalon, and Foolish Little Girl, originally a hit for The Shirelles in 1963.

Paul Wall Films "I Need Mo" on iPhone 3G

US rapper Paul Wall is the first to record his music video using an iPhone. "I Need Mo" featuring Kobe and Travis Barker from his "Fast Life" album was filmed entirely using an iPhone 3GS by director Amir Valina.

His album "Fast Life" is available for purchase from all major outlets.

Amy Winehouse Album Due in 2010

Singer Amy Winehouse's new album is expected to be completed next year, according to her record label Island.

Winehouse's last album Back To Black, which has sold 10 million copies and won five Grammy Awards, came out three years ago.

She was writing and recording with producer Salaam Remi, who worked on Back To Black, while living on the Caribbean island of St Lucia earlier this year.

Winehouse's is making a return to TV screens on Saturday, singing backing vocals for her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing.

Now The Market Is Really Paying Attention To The Urban Scene

The company, which provides online retail services for acts including Queen and Placebo, has agreed a deal with Chipmunk's management to provide an online store for the Tottenham super star.

Digital Stores will have the exclusive right to sell Chips tour merchandise and exclusive fan-only releases.

Chipmunk's debut album, "I Am Chipmunk" is released by Jive on October 12th.

Kanye West Cancels American Tour

After embarrassing himself at the MTV Video Music Awards Kanye West has pulled out on his 34 day North American tour.

Kanye was going to do a joint tour with pop star Lady Gaga. However, Live Nation (an online ticket service) announced today that the tour has been cancelled. The 'Fame Kills' tour was expected to bring a new crowd for Kanye, as Gaga is popular within the gay community.

We don't know if 50 Cent's comment about Kanye's new project should be called "The Gay Tour" has any reason why he cancelled. The real reason has not been officially announced.

All tickets will be reimbursed.
